Dr. S. David Wakulchik
Allopathic Program Director
Thank you for visiting our Family Medicine Residency Web site. We hope you find the information you are seeking about our program.

We are a dually accredited - by the ACGME and AOA - Family Medicine residency program whose vision includes excellence in patient care and resident education. We are striving to provide a program that will provide our patients with the full basket of medical services, a patient-centered medical home and open access scheduling. We are currently planning for an EMR in our Family Medicine Center.

Our curriculum balances a strong inpatient experience with outstanding outpatient care, anchored by our newly constructed Family Medicine Center. Our residents have many opportunities to be involved in the office and administrative management of the residency practice. In addition, our Waynesburg practice offers a more rural opportunity with some of our faculty.

Aultman Hospital is a 682-bed tertiary hospital that recently underwent a major expansion for cardiac, emergency medicine and obstetrical services with state-of-the-art services. We are a resident-friendly educational setting and seek to provide individualized resident educational goals.

We welcome your interest in the program and are eager to provide additional information about the educational opportunities here at the Aultman Family Medicine Residency Program.

Sincerely,

S. David Wakulchik, M.D.

Dr. Patricia Matto
Osteopathic Program Director

Thank you for visiting our Osteopathic Family Medicine Web site. This is an exciting time for you and for us here at Aultman Hospital. We are proud to offer an Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency!

The residency will parallel our Allopathic Family Medicine Residency. The graduating resident will be able to take advantage of dual accreditation by the AOA and the ACGME, if desired. We are proudly affiliated with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM); I am an alumna from the class of 1997.

Primary care is a dynamic field, and today's graduates need a diverse training curriculum. We have developed a program meeting all AOA requirements as well as creating a comprehensive program to prepare you for future practice. Multiple outpatient training sites are available, including urban, suburban and rural offices. We also offer strong inpatient care services to create competent physicians.

In the fall of 2006, we completed a new ambulatory facility, housing our resident clinical offices in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Ob/Gyn.

Thank you for your visit today. We look forward to providing you with more information about the program. The Aultman family looks forward to your arrival.

Sincerely,

Patricia Matto, D.O.
